Hi, i'm joy

I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in Brisbane/Gold Coast, capturing love and happiness anywhere you need me to Australia wide & overseas. I have been capturing weddings and families for just over 8 years. I feel like I’m writing my resume right now ha! I’m a professional third wheel as I like to say! 

People who have met me will say that my name suits me perfectly - I’m bubbly, easy going and bring positivity and joy into everything I do. I was born in France and raised in the beautiful island of Tahiti, French Polynesia. In 2010 my partner and I decided to move to Australia and we fell in love with the country. Graduating in 2011 with a diploma in Photo Imaging, I created Joy Philippe Photography and never looked back. 

I pride myself on giving you the best wedding photography experience, capturing important moments throughout the day. My approach is very relaxed yet professional. I will blend in and capture magical memories without you even noticing I’m here. 

I absolutely love what I do. Capturing people who love to laugh and are crazy in love about each other while chasing sunsets to get that beautiful golden light. I adore capturing couples, families, kids, while having fun. I will most likely share a tear or two behind my camera while you are saying your vows, laughing with your guests, down for some adventures with you and your bridal party. It will feel like we have known each other forever, having a friend capturing your day, but with years of experience and that will deliver professional images for you to hold onto for a lifetime. My style of photography is bright and airy, keeping colours joyful and vibrant. Capturing your day as it truly unfolds. No forced poses, just pure truthful, real & fun moments that makes your day, yours.

When I don't have a camera in my hand or editing, I love to be outdoor at the beach surfing or hiking. I absolutely love travelling, good coffee and I'm an animal lover!
 I love making new connections, discovering people, places, cultures.
