Alicia & Mick – Coranation Hall, Lake Somerset

Somerset Dam is located within 2 hours drive of Brisbane and it is truly beautiful and relaxing. The boys got ready at Somer Holiday House within Somerset village and conveniently, the girls were just across the street at The Old Schoolhouse, Somerset Dam House. The morning was super smooth and relaxed, having a good time, sipping on beers and Moscato. As Alecia was all beautifully dolled up and ready, her dad came in to see her and his reaction was just priceless. Such a proud father, admiring his little girl entering the next chapter of her life. As Paige and I arrived at The Spit, Lake Somerset, she got a few shots with the drone. What a stunning location! Guests started to arrive and got directed to be seated. Instead of flower girls, Alecia & Michael had flower grannies, they were absolutely adorable, offering flowers to family and friends.

Now, as for the entrance of the bride!! This was not the usual. She arrived by boat and docked right next to the ceremony area, where her dad was waiting and walked her down the aisle with a little stop on the way to change shoes of course haha! On a side note, what made the ceremony even more special, is that Alecia’s mum was the celebrant. Alecia & Michael’s wedding was the pure reflection of how they are, natural, easy going, fun and in love. As the ceremony formalities were over, we hopped onto the boat to start the bridal photos, cruising around Somerset Dam. We finished the day at Bebe’s Farmhouse with an absolutely stunning sunset! Paige and I couldn’t stop doing a happy dance as the light was just – Wow!

As for the reception, it took place at the Coronation Hall still around Somerset Dam. Loved it that all locations were not far at all from each other. Vintage, rustic beautiful shed, well decorated with tea light candles, greenery and gold vibes.
